The White Lady of Brandberg Mountain

When we got up op Friday morning, we decide not to drive straight to the coast but to rather drive further south to meet the White Lady of the Brandberg before turning west to Hentiesbay.  Again the scenery along the way is beautiful and we make quite a few stops.

The White Lady can only be visited with a guide and we get to share the experience with 2 South African tourists ..... at a very slow pace!

The White Lady of the Brandberg Mountain.
The most famous figure here is the White Lady, which most probably is not a lady after all, 40 cm tall and part of a group of hunters.  And also white with straight hair, therefor not typically African.  Many stories are being told about him or her  -  Mediterranean?   Or a San boy during his period of initiation?  Or being covered in the ashes being blown up from the fire - or at least, this was the versions we got from our guide.
