Tiras Mountains. Beautiful backdrop!

After the very early-in-the-morning-visit to Sossusvlei's Dune 45 and a Sesriem breakfast, we continue south, along more gravel roads and beautiful open spaces, slowly winding our way to Luderitz.

In the afternoon, past Helmeringhausen,  we drive along the Tiras mountains. The lower the sun sinks, the redder the mountains get.  When I see the signs for the Nam Tib desert lodge and Little Hunters Rest Camp site, I new that this is where I want to spend the night.

Little Hunter's rest campsite in the privately owned NamTib reserve.

The camping is at the foot of the mountain in the privately owned NamTib reserve. Before sunset we walk along the foot of the mountain, amazed by all the different shades of red.  And being stared at by a herd of rather tame springbuck.
